Maria Zambrano de Málaga

Goodbye Córdoba, hello Málaga. But first a train ride. It was cool and rainy in Córdoba. Supposed to be warm and sunny in Málaga. Except throughout the ride it was mostly overcast and foggy.

We were last in Málaga nine years ago, but not to stay. We came in at the airport and headed out immediately to Marbella, so we never got to see any of the town. The Estacion de Málaga Santa Zambrano turned out to be a delight not to be missed. The train pulled in right on time, and there was no long hike to the terminal.

Need cash from the ATM? Right there before you get into the terminal.

Barbara’s scheme throughout the trip has been to get hotels close to the train stations. Again she nailed it. Our hotel is right at the station. Only needed to go through a couple of doors. The story of the Hotel Barceló Málaga is the topic of another post. In the mean time, it turns out if all you want to do to live in comfort, there is never any need to leave the station. Everything is right here. To illustrate and to finish out this post, here is a selection of photos in and about the station.

About John Blanton

I'm a retired engineer living in San Antonio, Texas. I have served in the Navy, raced motorcycles, taken scads of photos and am usually a nice guy. I have political and religious opinions, and these opinions tend to be driven by an excess of observed stupidity. Gross stupidity is the supposed target of many of my posts.
